Position: Project Manager – Civil/Site Development

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee land development projects within the
private sector, encompassing single-family and multi-family developments, warehouse facilities,
solar projects, and commercial/retail ventures. This pivotal role involves leveraging internal
teams and subconsultants to produce site plans and subdivision designs, along with essential
documentation such as stormwater reports, water and sewer assessments, environmental and
traffic studies, and relevant correspondence. The primary objective is to secure all necessary land
use approvals, facilitating the seamless progression of projects to construction for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management encompassing staff, client, and subconsultant coordination.
• Expertise in site development engineering.
• Obtaining approvals from municipal bodies including site plan and subdivision boards,
County Planning Board, Soil Conservation District, and NJDEP Land Use (Waterfront
Development, CAFRA, Flood Hazard Area, Wetlands, BWSE, TWA, etc.).
• Proficiency in zoning, stormwater management, and land use regulations.
• Preparation and delivery of Planning/Zoning Board testimony.
• Efficient scheduling and decision-making abilities.
• Plan and document signing and sealing.
• Oversight of invoicing processes.
• Daily communication with project staff to provide guidance and direction.
• Coordination with clients, project attorneys, and consultants.

Requirements:
• Possession of a New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience exceeding 10 years in a relevant field.
• Salary Range: $140,000 – $200,000+.

Hammer Land Engineering in Manasquan, NJ, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Civil Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Experience in site design and/or site/civil land development.
• Proficiency in design and AutoCAD for site/civil and water/wastewater disciplines.
• Familiarity with NJDEP land use regulations and permitting requirements is
advantageous.
• Manage multiple engineering projects concurrently.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and goal-oriented work ethic.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong team player with proactive initiative.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English with strong presentation and report-writing capabilities (public
speaking experience preferred).
